The tears are streaming. 🥹 When I first started @bodybyraventracy , I felt this responsibility to uplift women and create a space where they felt represented…a place where they could be their own muse and see themselves reflected in one another. Eight years ago, there weren’t many brown-skinned girls, thicker women, or natural bodies being celebrated the way they deserved. I used to get messages from women telling me that if I could wear shorts with my cellulite, maybe they could finally find the confidence to wear theirs too. This really opened my eyes to the lack of representation out there and i was just like nope , it’s my responsibility to empower these women and to show them that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes , ethnic backgrounds etc so that was the birth of body! I say all of that to say… what started as something I wanted to build to empower women has ended up healing and empowering MEEEEE just as much. I genuinely feel the love, appreciation, compassion, grace, intention, respect, and belief in our future through your words. You all have reminded me that the impact we’re making goes so much deeper than cute clothes. That means everything to me. I’m so proud of the women you ARE, and I’m truly honored that you’ve allowed me to be a small part of your journey. Dre, thank you for being the best sous chef in the kitchen. 🤍 Thank you for helping curate what I truly believe is the best retail family in the world.
