These jeans were dyed with mud. Studio D’artisan’s Indigo Mud Dyed Denim lands at Blue Owl for a special release this Friday. In celebration of their 45th Anniversary, Studio D’artisan expands their Amami Dorozome Mud-Dye Collection with this all-new 18oz Japanese selvedge denim. Originally a double-indigo fabric, the jeans are cut and sewn and then over-dyed in mud on the island of Amami Ōshima. This artisanal technique combines vegetable tannins with mud to create an earth tone unique to each garment. The result is a deep, unique color which will fade from brown, to blue, and finally to white as the core of the yarn is exposed. The jeans are equipped with special edition details, including a 45th Anniversary leather patch and Amami Dorozome interior label. Offered in the brand’s best-selling Regular Straight fit. Limited quantites of these jeans go live this Friday, May 2 at Blue Owl. #StudioDartisan
