Five years ago I took the biggest risk of my career and opened a 240-square-foot, one-stop-dinner-party-shop. When I look back on that decision, and ask myself how and why I thought I could do such a thing, the one thing I can point to is my gut. In the years since that moment (pictured here after lease signing!), the greatest privilege of my job has been getting to meet so many women who also trusted their guts (and their own brilliance, creativity, drive, grit…the list goes on) to start their businesses and create their products — over 200 of which we now carry on our shelves @bignightshop. I’m so inspired by them (@diasporaco, @sweetdeliverance, @dusendusen, @sophieloujacobsen, @exauoliveoil, @drinkghia, @fishwife are just a few that have been with us since day one), as well as countless women-owned brands outside of Big Night’s walls that I personally shop, follow, and admire daily — a small snapshot of those businesses is below ✨.
