They ran. They had just spent Saturday with the greatest loss they had ever known and they thought it was over. So, when the news came, they didn’t run with knowledge. They ran with HOPE. That “stomach twisting - fist clenching- I am not sure but I believe” hope. You can see it in their faces. Their hearts burned and they started to remember words He had said and the experiences they had with Him. And so, they ran with all their hearts to see. I am running. Sometimes it feels like that long Saturday until we are reunited with Him and our loved ones but I am running. Even though I haven’t seen His face, I can remember the experiences I have had with Him and the grace and goodness He has blessed my life with. Sometimes I am running with excitement and other times my legs are exhausted and my fists are clenched in that hopeful prayer (Lord help mine unbelief!) but I will never stop. Happy Easter!
