600 Miles of Remembrance 🇺🇸 First Lieutenant Ace W. Tyler (USAF) was on the crew of a B-24H Liberator during World War II. On the 29th of May 1944, on his 17th mission, 1st Lt. Tyler flew from England on a mission to Politz, Germany, in order to destroy North German oil works there. The bomber was shot down near Gueltz where the burning plane crashed and nine of the crew members perished. Only one crew member survived. 1st Lt. Tyler was 26 years old and newly married when he was killed in action. 1st Lt. Tyler was nominated by his nephew, Ryan McDonald, who is the General Manager of the @bassproshops location in Branson, Missouri.
