Climbing, connection, and community. That’s Queer Ascent, year three.   Climbers of every level got hands-on time with world-class queer athletes and guides — building skills, building confidence, and building the kind of friendships that don’t end when the weekend does.  Film night was a first for Queer Ascent and felt long overdue: queer stories on screen, thoughtful conversation, and a first look at some upcoming films.   Then came Queer Prom, hosted by Truckee Pride (@truckeepride). Tuxes, corsages, dancing, and a room full of community celebrating together. A fitting way to close out a weekend built on climbing, connection, and pride.    Before heading out, participants joined Keep Tahoe Blue (@keeptahoeblue) for a stewardship day at Donner Lake — because taking care of this place is part of being in this community. Until next year! 📸 @taylor._shaffer
