Do you forget to turn off your car, too? 😅 When we all went outside to play, my son heard the car running and immediately let me know. He went straight to her door and knocked. I had NO idea and I didn’t smell anything! As a Deaf person (she’s Deaf, too!) we do forget, too, even though we intrusively double check everything. We’re humans! 🫠 Oliver couldn’t wait for her to come outside! 😆🤭 PS: some Deaf people have strobe lights when someone knocks/rings the doorbell. Others have an app (i.e. @ring) to notify when someone is at the door. And most have dogs! 🥰🐾 I hope this answers your question. 🙌🏻💙 When I was a little girl, I learned about how Jesus knocks on the ‘door’ of our heart. 🥹 👇🏻 “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.” Revelation 3:20 (NASB) 👇🏻 I couldn’t really understand what it meant until I got a bit older. And when I finally did understand, everything fell in place about trusting how He lives in our heart. He doesn’t barge in and destroy the door. He doesn’t kick the door open and taunt us. He doesn’t pound on the door and scream at us. … He knocks and He waits for you and me with love. He is there. It’s up to us to invite Him in. He was never gone! He was never far away! He was right there waiting for us. 😭 And when you and I let Him in, you bond with Him (dine with Him in a way that you both eat and talk together) We need food to live physically, right? Likewise, we need Him to live spiritually. 🤟🏻🥹
