When you grow up in an Asian household that never really celebrated Mother’s Day, you take these things for granted. When I became a mum, I lost a lot of my identity to this figure I became, in order to be everything to my little one. Because he was my whole world, he IS my whole world. But the truth is, no one rewards you for being a ‘good’ mum. In reality, it comes with a lot more guilt than pats on the back 🫣 So this is just a reminder that if you are one, you are doing amazing, and you are allowed to rest and heal this Mother’s Day. And if you haven’t told your mum how loved she is, and how much she is appreciated, don’t forget to send that message, write that letter, make that phone call (or send her this post! ☺️) P.s.
