Easy Cheesy Venison Taco Skillet 🌮 What the recipe? Comment “taco” and I’ll send you the link right to your DMs! This recipe can be made on the go or at home. If you’re making it at home, I highly suggest having your @rinsekitusa on hand for easy clean up! Ingredients 1 tablespoon Olive Oil 1 pound Ground Venison 1 medium Yellow Onion, Diced 1 Green Bell Pepper, Diced 1 package Taco Seasoning 1 cup uncooked White Rice 1.5 to 2 cups Water (or Beef Broth) 1 can Rotel, Undrained 2 cups shredded Colby Jack Cheese ½ cup chopped Cilantro Optional Toppings: sour cream, avocado slices, jalapeños Recipe Directions Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large deep skillet. Add in onion and bell pepper and saute for a few minutes until the onions are translucent. Add in ground venison and cook until the venison is browned, but still slightly pink, breaking it up as it cooks. Sprinkle taco seasoning over the venison mixture and mix well. Add in rice, water and rotel. I like to start with 1.5 cups of water at first and add the remaining water later if needed. Bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling reduce heat to low to simmer. Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes or until the liquid is absorbed and the rice is tender. Stir occasionally so the rice doesn’t stick. Sprinkle half the cheese and cilantro and stir until the cheese is melted, about 2 minutes. Top with remaining cheese, cover with the lid until melted and top with any additional toppings you prefer. #WildGameRecipes #WildGame #Recipes #CampRecipe #EasyRecipe | Wild Game | Venison | Venison recipes | easy recipes | outdoor cooking
