Our first cotton handloom collection just launched! Times like this I wish we had a store- there are so many details that I thought about when I designed this collection that I want to share! I’ll definitely do a live next week to try on some pieces in the studio with the team… Meanwhile… these pieces are dyed in three different indigo tones, and each panel of clothing has all three colours. It’s a soft cotton twill (twill is the diagonal pattern that denim has) but the difference is, it’s super soft and completely hand woven. The buttons are covered in fabric, and there’s hand stitching details on the hems. The shirt pocket has a palm tree hand embroidered on it- coconut palm trees are important to me as they are the symbol of Kerala, where my Indian roots are.
