Hippie feature x @abstract.hikes 🎨What makes you happy? First and foremost being well rested is integral to a positive mental state for me. The other “ingredients” to my happiness are definitely a healthy dose of nature, sunshine, warm weather, exercise, time for creativity, and of course spending time around my friends, family and pup. Most recently I’ve also been finding lots of joy in gardening, particularly growing my own food. 🎨What’s your dream day look like? My dream day consists of waking up late and going on an extended hiking adventure with my partner and dog on a quiet and challenging trail. My ideal hike would be out west with wildflowers bursting from the riverbanks and snowy jagged peaks in the distance.  Ending a long day of hiking with a big Thai meal and then a multi-hour hot spring soak under shooting stars is the dreamiest! I think I could relive this kind of day for eternity.   🎨What do you daydream about? I often daydream about new painting ideas, interior design visions for our fixer upper house, and hopefully starting a family soon. I used to daydream a lot about big backpacking adventures, but am embracing a more stable lifestyle during this season of my life. 🎨Where do you go/ what do you do to relax and recharge? The bath has always been a big source of relaxation for me. Since highschool I would spend big portions of my day in the tub. I often did most of my homework there as well as even writing my college admissions essay about writing my college admissions essay from the bath haha! To this day I relax in the tub while also doing a lot of work and painting plans. My partner even built me a custom desk to work from the tub! 🎨What is your favorite part of your skincare routine? I love to moisturize before going to bed, especially if I spent a lot of time outdoors in the sun all day. In particular I love Mad Hippie’s Triple C Nightcream, which feels super hydrating.
