The spicy lemon power of this oil has been revered for centuries for its cleansing and healing properties. Reputed to boost immunity and combat inflammation, it’s also one of our favourites. And it repels insects, too.⁠ ⁠ A ritual reset Why ‘tea tree’? It’s because the leaves of this hardy native evergreen make the most delicious, soft, lemon-flavoured infusion. The leaves are also great when chopped up and added to salads. ⁠ ⁠ Why not harvest some leaves (see below) and relax with a soothing cup of tea? ⁠ ⁠ The shrub is often grown in gardens, and it flourishes in the wild. You can recognise it by the narrow leaves growing from dark red stems, or its beautiful white flowers. And its heavenly lemony scent, of course!
