We had the pleasure of hosting our second supper club with the brilliant @omereado @aleph_london and what a joy it was. Omer came to us with this idea to do a Mimouna dinner—basically a big, beautiful feast to celebrate the end of Passover by eating as much gluten and sweets as humanly possible. Obviously, we said yes immediately. He moved into the kitchen for a few days—slow-cooking lamb overnight in the bread ovens, made couscous by hand (?!), sharing the space with our pastry team, and filling every corner with trays of sweet, sticky Mimouna treats. The menu was packed with flavour: matbucha, grilled veg, chermoula carrots, fresh sardines with tomato and coriander. That lamb, soft and rich, with chickpeas and paprika. The braised squash and onions, not to mention the homemade couscous. And then there were the desserts: mufleta fresh off the pan, sticky chebakia cookies, chewy almondy Jhaban, — all gone in minutes. A massive thanks to all of the amazing beautiful people that came, it was so lovely to see everyone having such a magical time. It was loud, warm and totally delicious.
