The first Monday in May 💐🚖 as a designer this date each year is such a marker for what’s happened in my life - almost like a new year where you look back. I’ll never forget the year I lost my dad- the most important person to me on this planet - my crescent moon barrette was worn on Evan Rachel Wood in 2018 and I was in shock - and she looked like an actual angel and I knew it was my dad looking down on me and telling me to keep going. Since then I’ve had two babies, one born in May! And I’ve had opportunity to create pieces for #metgala so many of which were never worn and it’s still just as amazing to have that honor as a designer. It’s such a New York feeling - the onset of spring, the excitement of the magic, and artists doing what they do best. Can’t wait to see tonight 🪄💫
