What if companies were responsible for the waste they create? 🚮 New York’s Packaging Reduction & Recycling Infrastructure Act (PRIAA) (A1492/S1492) would require companies to cut packaging waste at the source, not just recycle it. On Monday, Team Blueland went to the NY State Capitol to advocate for this bill and show that it’s possible to build a brand that’s both profitable and sustainable. We were shocked, but not surprised, to be the only consumer brand present in support of PRIAA. If passed, the bill would:
🫴 Shift responsibility onto producers (EPR)
 🚮 Reduce packaging by 50%
🧪 Ban a long list of toxic chemicals
🏭 Fund recycling systems through companies, not taxpayers
🧑‍⚖️ Set stricter reuse + recycling standards How you can help #PassPRIAA:
📣 Contact your NY State representatives
 📲 Tag your reps + use #PassPRIAA
✊ Show up at local town halls and meetings #heastiepassprria #PRRIA
