We caught up with David Barnett to talk about craftsmanship, preservation, and the visual language of New York City. For more than a decade, David has documented, restored, and championed New York’s signage culture. As co-founder of Noble Signs and director of the New York Sign Museum, he works to preserve the handmade signs, neighborhood histories, and design traditions that help define the city.
