“It all has to mean something.” For photographer Paris Mumpower, intention is everything. Whether she’s working on a personal project or a brand shoot, her approach is rooted in authenticity — a value passed down from her mentor at SCAD, who taught her to always align each frame with its purpose. “Every element should be there for a reason,” she says. “That’s what brings a story to life.” When capturing the Indigo Linen capsule, Paris leaned into what felt timeless — both in the collection and behind the lens. “Nothing says timeless like film,” she says. “I used four different cameras that day — a mix of medium format and 35mm — to echo the textures and tones of the fabric.” The result is a series that feels considered and quietly powerful. Rich indigo, soft linen, a fresh take on everyday style — all filtered through her signature perspective. We spent the day with Paris as part of our ongoing series. Celebrating artists in their element, with a strong point of view and an eye for what matters. Asalia wears the Indigo Linen Sleeveless Maxi Dress.
