I’m so pleased to announce that I’ve started working (part time) as @zurikenya ’s Instagram content and strategy consultant! My Zuri claim to fame is that I was their first customer at their first San Francisco pop up seven or eight years ago, and I’ve loved their clothes - and their business ethos - ever since. In those years, Zuri has thoughtfully expanded its collection from its standard dress, to short sleeved and sleeveless and maxi dresses, to shirts, and, recently, to culottes. Here I’m wearing the “Do the Wave” maxi dress, which is made from stitch resist dyed fabric hand dyed in Dakar, and sewn in Kenya. I’ve accessorized with a necklace made from clay beads from Mt. Kenya. Don’t worry - I’ll still be making and selling art! But I’m also excited to be part of the Zuri team, sharing their clothes and engaging with their community.
