I remember this boomerang all too well…I’ll never forget the night I launched my first ever batch of YWF play dough kits. I had hand mixed every single batch of dough in my tiny KitchenAid mixer, rolled each ball by hand, wrapped them in saran wrap, and stayed up way too late every night after putting the kids to bed, just trying to get them all done. During the day, while the kids were at Mother’s Day Out, I’d line the hallways of our house with open boxes and turn my home into a full on assembly line kits on the beds, the floor, the counters, you name it. I had made 60 ocean themed kits and told everyone on Instagram they’d launch Tuesday night at 8pm. “Grab them while you can!” I said probably with way too much confidence for someone selling out of a janky Squarespace site that only accepted PayPal 😂 But at 8:01 p.m. I refreshed the page… and they were gone. Every single one. That was the moment I thought, okay… maybe this is something. And that’s how it all began.
