What if we listened to Indigenous voices as a way of tending to the Earth? 💚 What if we listened to the Earth, the Water, our more than human kin? What if we tended to one another & our own bodies, extensions of the Land, as a way of honouring the Earth? Earth day was founded in the 60s, we've been here since time immemorial. Beyond green washing, what if we truly committed to our relationship with the Land, and one another? To repairing 🌼🌊 Through our daily actions + habits, our entire way of being. Seeing so many kin, their work, centered around relationships ~ with the Land, with one another, with themselves. My Heart fills with so much love for you all. Extra love to all the lovers of the Earth today too, the stewards, caregivers. The ones reclaiming, remembering & doing the actual work that really isn't so "instagrammable" much of the time. Beyond Earth day. I share often about our relationship with the Earth. The Land has saved me many times & shown me my path, how to be a good relative here. The Land has also taught me about forgiveness & accountability too. Growing up I didn't really 'fit.' I was bullied & things were sometimes difficult at home. The Land held me, Sandstone & Sagebrush. Cottonwood. I heard the Plants speaking from a young age. These kinships literally keep us here... remind us to keep going. Today I'm just giving gratitude for this Earth that we all have in common. Land connects us. Water connects us all. How are we truly showing up? For ourselves too. How are we protecting what is sacred here, including one another, kin we've never met... today, I hope you are able to go to the Land, your own bodies & Spirit included, and just listen 💚🌼
