Jimmy Eat World is a rock band formed in Mesa, Arizona in 1993. The band came up in the skate punk and emo scenes throughout the '90s, bursting into the mainstream in 2001 with the album Bleed American and its hit singles The Middle and Sweetness. ⁠ ⁠ Guitarist and vocalist Jim Adkins described his AC30 as versatile: "You can dress it up or down for any occasion" ⁠ ⁠ The band continued to grow, establishing themselves as one of the most influential emo bands of the 2000s and a band that helped break the sound into wider culture.
