Anthony Jackson is a long-time Best Friend! It's heartbreaking when someone you love is struck by an illness that stops them in their tracks from living life as they've known it. Almost 8 years ago, Anthony was on tour with @hiromimusic and @simonphillipsofficial in London. They finished the show, and the three came center stage to take their bow. Anthony fell that night while taking that bow and hasn't taken a bow since then. It's funny how life takes care of you; that's something @victorwooten Victor Wooten has been saying to me for years. “ If you don't take care of life, life will take care of you.” We can interpret this in many ways. I was managing Anthony at the time of his first stroke that night in London. Life took care of all of us that day. Is it heartbreaking that Anthony hasn't played live since that day? Yes, but isn't it amazing that he never stops trying to improve every day? Yes! Does he miss doing what he's done professionally since out of High School & before that? Yes! I could go on about the loss of income and health—basically, what he misses. As time goes on, I realize there have been so many blessings, from managing his career to becoming best buddies with him! Watching movies, talking on the phone, laughing so hard our stomachs ache—Anthony, if you know him, has the hardest, unforgettable Chuckle that belongs only to him! I think he's laughed & smiled more in the last few years than ever. We became family! He's part of my closest inner circle...Family. I truly pray you can join us on February 27th.
