Nicholas Lee Oriza (b. 1993, Salem, OR) is a Mexican American muralist, painter and designer from Salem, Oregon based in Portland, Oregon. Growing up in a working class home and community, Oriza employs an extensive variety of mediums and found objects to create mixed media works on canvas and watercolor paper. Oriza’s work is inspired by his childhood and the elevation of group experience that occurs when audiences witness live performances of sports, music and art. These inspirations have lead him into the world of contemporary fashion, clothing manufacturing, design and agency work for various companies, like Jordan Brand, Nike, Empire Records, Converse, & adidas. Oriza currently lives and works in Portland, Oregon and hopes to one day make a full-time living in the world of art and design. @orizaoriza_
