Let’s talk deschooling! Deschooling is the transition process that children and parents go through when they leave the school system to begin homeschooling. Public school or virtual homeschooling through the school system & homeschooling are two totally different worlds. 🌎 Deschooling helps you reset what you believe about education and gives you and your child a fresh start. Give yourself and your children TIME. Give yourself and your children SPACE. Build a strong foundation. The homeschool police won’t be showing up at your door if you take weeks or months to slowly transition in. Focus on learning about methods of education, on your relationship and connection with your children, on slow living, on exploring the outdoors, on following your child’s passions, and on learning what makes your child come alive.
