Having a knee injury and adding appointments and therapy to our school days has slowed me down in every way, but watching my kids this week reminded me of something I so often forget: all of life is learning, and it’s not all on my shoulders. Here are a few of the things they’ve done completely unprompted this week while I’ve been sidelined: ✨ Wrote a puppet script, practiced it, and performed a full show (with DIY puppets) ✨ Created a grocery list and stayed within a budget for a gathering my daughter is hosting ✨ Wrote and recorded an episode of their storytelling podcast ✨ Made coupons of acts of service to give to loved ones for Christmas ✨ Sewed pillows, pajama pants, and doll clothes from scratch This season looks different than I imagined, but there is beauty in watching them grow with curiosity, creativity, and independence.
