It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our dear friend and longtime Giving Partner, Shirley Raines of @beauty2thestreetz Shirley was a force for good in the world and transformed the lives of millions through her work supporting those unhoused around the USA. Shirley was often referred to as “the mother of the streets” because she provided more than makeup, skincare, ad home cooked meals: she gave dignity to anyone who had ever been overlooked in their life and provided tough, yet unconditional love to anyone she met. Shirley put the human in humanity. She reminded us all that our past doesn’t define our present, and our future is ours to create. Our hearts are broken but we know that thanks to YOU, our beautiful community, we will continue to put pain into purpose and honor the legacy that Shirley Raines left in her short time on earth.
