Juror Issues in the Karen Read Retrial? Today was a bumpy start to Day 20 as each juror came into court to speak to the judge about an ‘issue’. Court was completely cleared for this so only the lawyers, Karen Read and court staff were present. This happened on the record but sidebar conversations are sealed so we won’t know exactly what the issue was. However, we have some clues from Friday and from what the court said and did when court resumed today. No juror was removed, but seats were changed around. The Jury has been admonished by the court once for talking and court observers have noted jurors chatting with each other during sidebars and other moments of trial. Oh Boy!
