The Mahua blooms under the sun’s tender kiss, Sweet nectar spills forth, a wild, fragrant bliss, While tall bamboo sways, a languorous dance, In this beauteous rhythm, a Barbet finds chance. The wild elephant trumpets, a call to the kin, Majestic and mighty, where the jungle begins, With each mighty footfall, the earth seems to shake, In this wild Indian jungle, life thrives and awakes. The magic of the jungle, a wanderluster’s heart bold, Dusty pug marks reveal journeys untold, Each print in the dust speaks of secrets concealed, In this age-old dance, nature’s wonder is revealed. And amidst the stillness, the chital calls clear, An alarm echoing, a signal to adhere, In the rush of the jungle, where spirits take flight, A world full of wonder, where day turns to night. A tiger prowls silently, stealth in his gaze, His stripes like old stories, lost in the maze. A flash of embers his eyes are ablaze, It’s in the heart of the jungle, where mystery lays. A shadow that flits with a grace so divine, He vanishes swiftly, on instinct’s design. In the dry, dense jungle, where shadows creep, The Sal trees murmur, their secrets they keep.
