We're excited to announce the release of the MIJ14 – Haru Kaze Selvedge, the latest addition to our Made in Japan line. Haru Kaze means spring breeze in Japanese, a nod to this denim's lightweight feel.⁠ ⁠ This 8.6oz denim is our first lightweight selvedge in the Made in Japan collection, featuring a 2x1 workwear weave crafted from lightweight slub yarn. You'll notice rich neps throughout both the warp and weft.⁠ ⁠ The Haru Kaze Selvedge is made from 100% recycled cotton, with a unique brown-dyed interior weft that gives it a warm, inviting tone. This denim is loomstate, preserving its natural hairy and slubby texture. To manage shrinkage while maintaining a crispy raw feel, it has undergone a tempi treatment. Embrace the character of traditional denim as the legs will naturally twist over time.⁠ ⁠ Finishing details include a sheepskin leather patch, 100% copper rivets with hidden back pocket rivets, and 100% iron buttons, all designed to patina beautifully with age. Our signature Naked & Famous Denim Made in Japan maple leaf embroidery is proudly featured on the back pocket.⁠ ⁠ The MIJ14 – Haru Kaze Selvedge will be available on Thursday, June 12th at 11 AM ET at Tate + Yoko.
