CWA’s has a vision for California with abundant waterfowl, vibrant wetlands, and thriving hunting communities. One of CWA’s many contributions to conservation is its Egg Salvage program. CWA works with farmers to collect and rescue eggs from farmland before the farmers’ tractors prepare the soil for planting and plowing. California Waterfowl has rescued more than 1,600 duck nests and 12,000 duck eggs. The eggs are incubated and hatched, and the ducklings are raised, banded and released back into the wild.
