“Spent a couple days down at Bar H Ranch in Oklahoma @barhindustries helping get their Blumat system fully dialed in These guys have had a system in place for a few years but had been struggling to get things running smoothly with the Blusoak 2 tape and the standard calibration method. They were one of the first facilities I sent Blusoak 3 to for testing—and it made a big difference—but they were still seeing some inconsistent performance. We eventually diagnosed the issue: their system was underpowered, running each room on three 7.25 PSI reducers. That just wasn’t enough flow or pressure to keep the sensors and tape running reliably. So I came down, installed the new adjustable pressure reducers, and preset, marked and put protective caps on all their 9” Blumat sensors. Now the whole system’s running steady and smooth, with consistent pressure and moisture across their double-tier living soil beds BluSoak 3, the new pressure reducers, and properly calibrated sensors have solved every issue we used to see.
