Would you use the same cotton tote bag everyday for 54 years? Well, one study suggests that that’s how much it would take to offset the overall carbon footprint of producing one organic cotton tote 💡 While they’re “environmentally friendly” in a sense that they biodegrade compared to plastic, making cotton totes uses up more water and energy. At Sunday, we like to do things a little bit differently. Rather than using cotton totes or plastic bags, we repurpose fabric that has already been produced, and use materials that have a lower production impact through our facilities that are affiliated with @fairtradeuk, certified with OEKO-TEX®, and more. Each Sunday order you place will come either in cardboard boxes and paper packaging that is 100% recyclable, or a Furoshiki wrap made with deadstock fabric, ultimately reducing waste and encouraging reuse ✨ Since 2021, we’ve also switched to Water-Soluble Mailers developed by the @invisiblecompany_ in Hong Kong, and when needed, we use 100% recycled plastic. Now with our Better Packaging, you can rest a little easier knowing that everything from your bedding to your bag is made with the planet in mind 😴 - #SundayBedding #WorldEnvironmentDay #SustainableBedding #BetterPackaging
