I love this quote by the French philosopher Claude-Adrien Helvétius. I’ve been recalling it a lot lately : “Anyone who looks deeply into their soul notices their own mistakes so often that they naturally become humble. They stop showing off their knowledge and no longer see themselves as better than others.”
