We wanted to share an update about our sweet Kira. I know so many of you have reached out and have been praying for her. Since experiencing her seizure, she just hasn’t been doing well and as much as she wants to keep pushing forward, we know deep down that her body is asking for help. After many prayers, heartfelt conversations, and tears, we’ve made the decision to bring her home for a short time so she can receive the medical care she needs, including seeing a neurologist and getting an EEG. This has not been an easy decision, but her health is our top priority. She will not be released as a missionary she will be transferred here, and we are incredibly hopeful that the tests come back clear and she’ll be able to return to her mission as soon as a neurologist clears her to return. Kira knows in her heart that this is the right step, even though if you know her at all, you know how much she lives to teach people about Jesus. There is no one more passionate, more on fire, or more excited to share Jesus with the world. She has given her whole heart to this mission. And now, the hardest part for her is stepping away, even briefly, from something she loves so deeply. But we trust this is the Lord’s plan. We may not understand all the reasons yet, but we are choosing faith. Because we know that even detours are still part of His path. We would be so grateful for your continued prayers.
