London Fashion Week: Selvedge Designer Showroom From 17–19 September at Asia House, London, some of India’s leading contemporary designers will gather in the capital for the first time. Coinciding with London Fashion Week, Selvedge presents the Indian Designer Showroom, featuring seven visionaries blending heritage craftsmanship with contemporary design. United by sustainable materials, slow production, and traditional textile techniques, it’s a rare chance to glimpse India’s textile future in London. Among them is Soham Dave, founder of his namesake slow fashion label rooted in craft, minimalism, and quiet design. From his Ahmedabad studio, Dave produces clothing in natural fibres woven on handlooms, dyed, and printed by hand using local resources. Each garment is cut in-house with meticulous attention to quality. Since 2011, the label has been recognised for thoughtful silhouettes, small-batch production, and seasonless designs that transcend trends. Offcuts are reused, overproduction avoided, and subtle stitched details tell a quiet story of labour, place, and permanence. This comes as the UK lifts import taxes on clothing and textiles from India, opening fresh opportunities for the Spring/Summer 2026 season. The showroom is open exclusively to wholesale clients on 17–18 September, and opens to the public on 19 September, when visitors can meet the designers, view collections, and shop select pieces.
