In a cottage between Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire, Luke Edward Hall spins stories from bright skeins of wool. Here, among tangled gardens and misty fields, Chateau Orlando was born: a daydream in knitwear, where old country houses creak with myths, and Pan himself might whistle from the hedgerow. Founded in 2022, Hall’s label is a love letter to flower-crammed parlours, to ancient gods lounging in meadows, to the wildness beneath neatly clipped lawns. Trained at Central Saint Martins and seasoned by a stint with Jonathan Anderson, Hall carries a painter’s brush into every design, blending 14th-century manuscripts, animal fables, and flashes of ancient Rome with the rowdy charm of a village fête. Each jumper, each vest, each knitted yarn sings with colour pulled from woodland walks and herbaceous borders - marigold yellows, berry pinks, misty greens...
