Nelson shared in General Conference: “Imagine the comfort of having confidence in the presence of God!” Can you feel the peace in that phrase? President Nelson lovingly invited each of us to “take intentional steps to grow in [our] confidence before the Lord.” That confidence isn’t about perfection or performance—it is a spiritual gift, born of charity and virtue, that allows us to draw nearer to our Heavenly Father with faith and hope. We live in a world that can often leave us feeling uncertain, weary, or even inadequate. But President Nelson reminded us that as covenant disciples of Jesus Christ, we have access to “a different kind of confidence”— one that is born of the Spirit. He testified that “the Lord yearns to help each of us reach our highest potential.” This week, may we take the Savior’s invitation to heart: * Plead with Heavenly Father for greater charity—especially toward those who are difficult to love. * Let virtue fill our thoughts and shape our choices. * Increase our worship in the house of the Lord, where we are endowed with power and peace. * As we do, President Nelson promised: “We will be filled with more joy, and your faith in Jesus Christ will increase. We will begin to experience spiritual power that exceeds our greatest hopes.” That power is real. That joy is available now. And our confidence in God’s presence can truly wax strong—today.
