I believe in the deepest part of my heart that Jesus carried these precious souls home and I trust that in their final moments He gave them peace. We pray that Jesus provides supernatural comfort in the coming days to everyone affected by this tragedy: the family members of those who lost their lives, the rescue workers who put their own lives at risk and witnessed devastation firsthand, those who lost everything they owned, and the animals who were displaced or injured. We do not have all of the answers as to why such horrible things happen, but what we do know is that we serve a mighty and loving God, who is near to the brokenhearted and weeps with us.
