At a Baithak hosted by Raw Mango in Hyderabad, the Shankarananda Kalakshetra Ensemble presented Navarasa. Led by Padma Shri Ananda Shankar Jayant @anandashankarjayant , this dance production uses the grammar of Bharatanatyam and body kinetics in an abstract, eclectic exploration of the Nine Rasas – the essential emotions that are said to inform Indian aesthetics, dramaturgy and personal life: Roudra (Anger), Bhayanaka (Fear), Adhbhuta (Wonder), Bhibhatsa (Disgust), Veera (Valour), Karuna (Grief), Hasya (Humour), Sringara (Love) and Shanta (Peace).
