At a Baithak hosted by Raw Mango in Hyderabad, Manipuri Jagoi Marup presented Basant Raas. A classical dance drama, Basant Raas is traditionally performed under the full moon of Chaitra (March/April) at temples in Manipur. Based on the story of Krishna and Radha, the story sees Krishna arrive at the appointed grove where gopis led by Radha respond to the call of his flute and they dance together. They play Holi with colored gulal and the performance crescendos in a moment of union.
