A quiet corridor linking together several interior spaces, comes together to form Raw Mango’s new store in Kolkata. Inside, the store presents an intimate world shaped by Kolkata’s layered histories. The sculptures take centre stage:a series of pieces specially created in collaboration with an artisan known for crafting Durga Puja installations. High ceilings, warm flooring and the quiet interplay of light create a sense of closeness, grounding the experience in a distinctly Kolkata rhythm. Objects sourced from Kolkata and curiosities collected from the subcontinent, reflect Raw Mango’s design philosophy — emphasizing culture, craft and context over commercial interests. Garments are removed from pedestals, and placed in muslin-lined almirahs alongside artifacts curated to spark conversation and curiosity.
