Did anyone detect a vibe shift? 😬 Whew, things are a bit different out there—changing of the guard and all. Some people are terrified and angry, some are joyous and hopeful, and I love you as a human being regardless of where you stand. When I notice tension and divisiveness running high, I work extra to cultivate a curious and open heart. Try spending a few moments sending loving-kindess out to every human—especially those you disagree with—and see if it doesn’t make you feel a bit better. Try it, right now! Or if you’re feeling up for it, you can try the Buddhist practice of tonglen—breathing in the suffering of others, breathing out a sincere wish for their happiness.
