We are so thrilled to announce a brand new workshop this summer at the Paintrock in partnership with acclaimed Western artists Teal Blake (@tealcokeblake) and Duke Beardsley (@dukebeardsleystudio). Join us July 6 to 11 for five nights of drawing and painting the horses, people, and landscapes of the Paintrock Canyon Ranch under the guidance of Teal and Duke. Both artists have long been members of the extended Ranchlands family and spent the past two decades earning widespread recognition for their distinctive interpretations of the American West, with works featured in prestigious galleries, museums, and collections across the country. This hands-on workshop will explore the fundamentals of strong composition, color, and technique, with a focus on understanding your subject to create compelling artwork. Participants will have unique opportunities to observe and photograph horses in motion working under saddle and in the corrals, alongside in-depth demonstrations, discussions, and critiques of anatomy, conformation, equitation and movement.
