The Texas high plains are defined by sweeping grasslands, craggy canyons and creeks hidden among the flats, and, of course, vast dramatic skies. In the summer those skies are at peak drama — dominated by storm cells and towering cumulonimbus clouds that are hard to take your eyes off.
