Across the ranches we manage, no wildlife is more commonly seen than the pronghorn. Due to hunting pressures in the early 20th century populations of the once abundant pronghorn were diminished at one point to just a few thousand. A combination of habitat protection, range management, and hunting restrictions allowed the species to recover and today, pronghorn are quite numerous across most of the American West, although they never regained a foothold in other parts of their historical range.
