Buying a pair of old Nikes is a scary task. There’s really no telling on whether the midsole is going to hold up, or crumble into a million pieces as soon as you leave the house. Historically, vintage Nikes have always been a gamble, but in recent years, that’s changed… thanks to @nike_server & @vibram. Back in 2021, the duo unveiled to the world their first project, which involved the resoling of crumbled-midsole-Nikes with new Vibram soles. The results from the project (pictured) are mega, and a perfect example of how attitudes towards repairing footwear are changing.
