This campaign isn’t about ditching sunscreen (we’re actually launching our own zinc-based sunscreen collection next week). It’s about asking better questions about how we engage with the sun, and what we’re putting on our skin to do so. Because not all sunscreens are created equal, and not all ingredients have been proven safe. Per the FDA’s most recent ruling, only two sunscreen active ingredients have been officially recognized as safe and effective: zinc oxide and titanium dioxide - both of which are mineral-based. And when it comes to our philosophy, it’s simple👇🏼 ☀️Get the right amount of sun for your skin type — at the right times of day ☀️ Use non-nano zinc SPF when needed ☀️ Seek shade and wear protective clothing when needed ☀️ Support your skin from within In other words, we believe in responsible sun exposure and honoring how our bodies were designed to interact with light. This campaign isn’t an invitation to throw out your sunscreen and bake in the sun. It’s about creating a more thoughtful, more informed conversation around sun care.
