The queue is now live! Starting on September 16th, Ellis Ericson and Jaleesa Vincent will be joining us in Brooklyn for their Pilgrim Shaping Residency. Ellis has been foundational in the fleshing out of this NYC surfboard residency concept–first satellite shaping in New York over 15 years ago in Joe Falcone’s @jw_falcone “Clams Casino” Rockaway shaping bay. In the time since, Ellis has taken on the perennially inspiring Jaleesa Vincent as a shaping prodige. We’re thrilled to host them both together as a healthy example of the master/apprentice relationships that drive surfboard building and its evolution. Whether through music making, film making, surfboard making or surfboard riding–it’s clear that Ellis and Jaleesa have an intensely symbiotic exchange that we’re hoping will wear off on us here in the Northeast.
