Today we remember Jochen Mass, a German racing driver who competed in Formula One from 1973 to 1982. Mass won the 1975 Spanish Grand Prix with McLaren. In endurance racing, he claimed victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1989 with Sauber. Mass has always been one of my favorite drivers, simply because he drove the Sauber C9 — a car I’m obsessed with — and he’s responsible for one of the hardest motorsport images of all time. RIP, GOAT
