Save this! I promise it’ll come in handy! 👀 This was one of the things I struggled with most for the first many years of my career. I had actually asked two of my teachers how to remove residual built up adhesive and they couldn’t tell me either! It’s a tricky one! The easiest way I found to remove this is to treat it as if there is a lash attached. You wouldn’t slide up on a lash that was tugging on the natural lash, so same rule applies for removing adhesive! I like to pop off these adhesive chunks, if I can. Treat it like removing a wrapped lash. Hold the natural lash and pop the piece of adhesive upwards(if it was placed on top). Some times they need to be worked off with a little bit of finesse if you are using a thin adhesive or a very small amount of adhesive. In this video, I was able to squeeze the adhesive until it broke the bond and then grip the natural lash to slide the piece of adhesive up and off. Some times it’s as easy as this and some times it takes a little more work- but it is worth the extra effort I promise!! If you attempt to place an extension on top of built up adhesive like this, it adds a significant more amount of weight to the natural lash. It most likely won’t last past a few days because you are not bonding the extension to the natural lash microgrooves to hold it in place. There will be a rigid contact between the residual adhesive and the new extension and there will be a lifted gap between the natural lash and the extension- making them easier to pop off with washes or everyday wear. Try this the next time you see residual adhesive left on the lash, then replace the extension onto the natural lash like normal! 😍 Also, this fan is @parislashacademy patented Promade 2.0 wrapped fans. 😮‍💨🏆 they deserve a trophy.
